Dear Colleague,
Good corporate governance plays an important role in our ability to successfully achieve our business objectives and maintain our commitment to the INPEX Australia Business Code of Conduct.
The INPEX Sodan Hotline provides a channel for all personnel to report improper conduct in the workplace. It is confidential, anonymous and an independent way to raise issues and concerns. Sodan is Japanese meaning to consult or talk.
The Sodan Hotline answering service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and will be answered by either an operator or automated service operated by an independent company called Stopline. INPEX’s Australia’s People & Collaboration (HR) Department will receive notification on all matters reported to Stopline within 24 hours.
Personnel are encouraged to report any genuine suspected serious misconduct or malpractice such as:
- Activities that pose serious harm to health, safety and environment;
- Theft, fraud or misappropriation;
- Conduct or practices that breach a law or an INPEX Standard;
- Negative impacts on the way INPEX operates;
- Significant mismanagement or waste of funds or resources;
- Workplace bullying, harassment including sexual harassment or discrimination;
- Human rights violations including modern slavery or exploitation suspected to be occurring at INPEX or within its supply chains;
- Action taken against, or disadvantage or detriment suffered by complainants as a result of using the Sodan Hotline.
The INPEX Whistleblower Standard, INPEX Sodan Hotline Guideline and FAQ’s are located on the HR (People & Collaboration) Intranet page and on this website.
